The album title 'Ojunifé' means 'eyes of love' in yoruba. As Majur explains: “This is my axè* given name and I chose to use it as this project reflects my path into looking at myself with the care and love I deserve.” Regarding the musical references of the album, she comments: “Ojunifé is AfroPop, alternative touches, African and indigenous keys, in harmony with the beat in pop, soul and R&B”.
*Axé is a term used in Afro-Brazilian religions to refer to positive energy, blessings, or spiritual force.
